Video Tour of Columbia Forest

On Waterloo’s west side is Columbia Forest, a community of pretty homes with friendly neighbours. Most of the homes in Columbia Forest were constructed relatively recently and feature all the new-home amenities that people want in Waterloo housing. The houses found in this area range from two bedroom townhomes to 3,500 sq. ft. estate homes, all of which are backed onto protected green space.

Columbia Forest used to be one of the more remote parts of Waterloo, until the development of the Boardwalk a few years ago, which brought shops, restaurants and a Cineplex to the west side.

Small businesses are plentiful in Columbia Forest, with affordable hairdressers, music teachers and eye doctors available in the neighbourhood. Its close proximity to Laurelwood makes it appealing.  Columbia Forest offers more affordable housing options for those seeking Waterloo move in ready homes on a budget. The residents are active and involved, and can often be seen walking or biking throughout the community.

Sir John A. MacDonald Secondary School is in Columbia Forest, as is Abraham Erb School offering K-6 curriculum. A few Columbia Forest students are bussed to Edna Staebler Public School in Clair Hills which offers a French immersion option.

Catholic students will be bussed to St. Nicholas Catholic School, until they reach high school, at which time they will be bussed to Resurrection Catholic Secondary School.
