Video Tour of Conservation Meadows

On the northern strip of West Waterloo is Conservation Meadows, a small neighbourhood of fairly new homes in Waterloo.  Move in day is generally more peaceful in Conservation Meadows, where residents live away from the activity of the city, but are still close enough to shopping and amenities. Nature lovers adore this part of Waterloo, with expansive green space, walking trails, and a close proximity to Laurel Creek.

The homes offer modern amenities that are popular, but lots are small and neighbourhoods are intimate. Many of the homes back onto the green space, providing a forest of 30-foot trees as a backdrop. Friendships abound in this part of Waterloo.  This is made clear by the entire neighbourhood block that chooses to vacation together. Living in Waterloo, Ontario can’t be any more inviting. There’s no formal community association, but there’s frequent informal events like corn roasts among the neighbors.

A centerpiece of Conservation Meadows is its huge public park with two soccer fields and an outdoor skating rink.

There are no schools within the neighbourhood boundaries so all students are bussed. Public school children (K-6) attend N A MacEachern Public School which offers French immersion to grade 1-6 students, while middle school students can receive the same at MacGregor Public School for grades 7-8. High school students attend top ranking Sir John A MacDonald Secondary School or Waterloo Collegiate Institute.

Catholic students can attend Sir Edgar Bauer Catholic School in Lakeshore or St. David Catholic Secondary School.
